Eco-Friendly Packaging Bags

At VeKyde, we are committed to reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainability in every aspect of our business. Our efforts go beyond just our products; we ensure that even our packaging reflects our dedication to the environment.
For our street fair events in NYC, we use biodegradable packaging bags made from plant-based materials such as PBAT, PLA, and vegetable starch (including corn). Once composted, these bags break down into biomass, water, and CO2—leaving no plastic residue behind. These bags meet the ASTM D6400 standards in the U.S., ensuring they comply with the most stringent composting requirements.
Despite being made entirely from plant-based materials, these bags are surprisingly durable. They feature a star seal at the bottom, which increases their load capacity, making them leak-proof and tear-resistant. The extra-thick, double-stitched handle construction further enhances durability, preventing tears—even if the trash is wrapped around the edges. This makes them the ideal choice for a range of tasks, from carrying groceries to collecting food scraps.
In a world where environmental issues are more pressing than ever, it’s important to remember that even the smallest changes can have a significant impact. By choosing compostable bags over plastic, you're contributing to a healthier planet and reducing landfill waste.
When we hand you one of these bags, we encourage you to reuse it for food scraps or other household waste. Together, we can make a positive impact—one bag at a time.
